Why the **** are people calling Cotto shot?

That **** is dumb as hell. I dont know why anyone is calling Cotto shot. Specially sources like ring magazine, that **** is ******ed. Why are you gonna convince the boxing public that Cotto is shot so when he gets another loss, people can talk about him being out of his prime and downplay his opponent's victory.

Well its a bit odd indeed...

He then faces Jennings a c class fighter basically and wins, can you tell he is shot from this?? hell NO

He faces one of the other TOP ww in Clottey, he knocks him down round 1 then takes a bad cut round 3 or 4 or so, clearly it bothers him and he is vs A TOP WW with a very bad cut ffs..

Now when the cut dried up or was improved by his cut man in the later rounds he actually started to win, all though you can argue with Clottey backing off, but Cotto also became alot more active.

How the hell do people get he is shot from this?? Clottey gives anyone at Welter w fits.. with a huge cut he still couldn't beat Cotto, but Cotto is shot apparently???? how **** can ppl tell that.. they cant.

If Pac or Cotto wins at 145 i will give both huge credit Pac even more so imo cause as a real boxing fan i believe he is the underdog vs Cotto. Bottom line.. you cannot say Cotto is past it based on his last 2 fights since Margaritto.

i think the type of fight he was in with marg can really damage a fighter,physically and more importantly psychologically-but i dont think he has been affected greatly and is still a great fighter,young and very tough he proved it in the clottey fight (a guy nobody wants to fight)

Well if he hadn't been bothered by the cut i might agree but he knocked Clottey down in round 1 and was ahead before the cut clearly. Got to see him in another fight before people call him shot, but i dont buy that he is shot based of the Clottey performance.

The thing is im sick of these ready made excuses if Pac and him fight at 145 they should be getting credit for the win. But people gonna bull **** about weight/being past it no matter who wins.

His performance over Clottey wasn't bad. He just doesn't do well with relentless pressure. Everyone has a weakness and that is Cotto's weakness. I dont see how he can be called shot, its ignorant. Because he didn't run through Clottey, whome Margarito couldn't even run through?

Cotto is in no way over the hill. Where are those Cotto stans? Why the fuck have they vanished when Cotto is being called shot?
