He drops his guard after a combination.
Pac mans weakness

Pacquiao has a tendancy to be over agressive. However JMM feeds off of thatwhy he looked so good. Cotto looks very bad against aggressive fighters.Comment

I see Paq as having two weaknesses:
1. He loves to exchange and he's been able to get away with it his entire career. The only fight I've ever seen where he didn't flat out exchange is the DLH fight, and that's because Oscar wasn't throwing punches for upwards of 20+ seconds at a time, there was nothing to exchange with. But even in his Hatton fight, especially the 2nd round he was going at it throwing BOMBS trying to get the KO on Hatton. He won't get away with doing that against Cotto, Cotto isn't Hatton in the sense that he just throws he is like JMM in that his timing makes up for any speed he may lack.
2. His hands are held up way too high and he is open for combo's that are mixed in with body shots. Even in the DLH fight, one of the two punches DLH landed had an affect on Cotto and it was the right hook to the body it immediately sent Paq on the ropes, he got away but DLH doesn't know how to cut off the ring.
This is why I see Cotto as being so dangerous to Paq. Not only will Cotto willingly sit and exchange with Paq, and/or get Paq to exchange with Cotto but Paq is facing the best body puncher in boxing. Paq has been KO'd by a body shot before, I'm not saying he will this fight he is a much better fighter now, however, he CERTAINLY doesn't have Clottey defense especially in that body area and Cotto was still able to land over 50 body punches on Clottey. Paq won't have nearly that good of defense on Cotto and if he does it means he just won't be active enough and that is not Paqs kind of fight.
Also, while I wouldn't call it a weakness for Paq he has to watch the jab from Cotto. Really, in Paqs last two fights neither of the guys used a jab, at all. Hatton I think threw maybe like 3 before he got hit by a solid punch and he immediately went back to his old Hatton ways and just came in with his chin waiting to be hit. DLH, as stated earlier, rarely threw a punch and when he happened to and it was a jab it was slow, inaccurate and really had nothing behind it.Comment

I think it's playing pool and drinking beer. One of these days his training may suffer.
He's off balance sometimes when he throws combos and is suspectible to be countered when he gets a little reckless but that hasn't hurt him much lately except for JMM who's timing is really good.
He's improved so much and is harder to hit now but he can get hit when he gets really brave which happens from time to time.Comment
