Pac mans weakness

Anyone who hears how good Pacquiao is based solely on the Oscar and Hatton fights has been living under a rock for at least 6 years. What's impressive about Pacquiao is his entire body of work, not just his last two fights.

Basically counter punching and guys who can both box and have great defense, but Marquez is a great boxer/counter-puncher and Pac beat him. And Manny has been working on his ability to box and counteract those weaknesses we saw vs. Morales and JMM, so the Cotto fight will be a good test of that.

He's not invincible, but it takes a pretty special fighter to beat him soundly, or someone simply too big and strong for him.

hard to say because he's improved a great deal over the years. He used to have a ton of weaknesses but many have been corrected or at the very least improved. He's still off balance at times, cotto will have to use that to his advantage. He has a stiff jab, as seen against Clottey, and if he times it just right when Pac is off balance, it wouldn't surprise me if he scores a flash knockdown, which in turn will make Pac a little more careful and less aggressive.

it used to be that he can't fight going backwards, but he is getting really smart w/ setting traps and making his opponents walk into big shots (like the Hatton KTFO).

at WW (141-147 lbs) his greatest weakness is that he is too small.

at jr WW, his greatest weakness is a counterpunching style.

manny still can't fight going backwards, if you pressure manny and force him to go back he just throws reckless punches without looking he even does it in the 1st round of the hatton fight before the 1st knockdown

So the consensus best 140lber in the world who's been the best 140lber in the world for 4 years prior and just dominated consensus 2nd best 140lber in the world before facing pacquiao is a cherry picked fight???

The dude's fighting style may have been tailor made for pacquiao's style but people need to cut it out with the "cherry picked" accusations unless they know what they're talking about.
