  • Cotto, "Negotiations are in the same Stage and I wont go lower than 145 pounds"

About his Mega fight with MannyPacquiao, Cotto said it remains adamant that he will drop to less than 145 pounds. "My request is the same, no change," the monarch said that while the negotiations "remains the same. There is nothing new. "

Arum has stated in various media that the negotiations with the Cotto camp are well advanced and that only lack a Pacquiao meet to discuss the offer. Meanwhile, from Philippines, people working Pacquiao have shown that the "Pac-Man 'will receive a 65% of the income and the fight must be in a lower weight at 145 pounds.

Glad he's standing firm on 145. I could see it being at 144 though...which still isn't too bad. 143 would be ridiculous though, he would never even think of agreeing to that.

The funny thing is I don't think Pac's people would make it financially better for Cotto going lower than that.

Seems like they want to have their cake and eat it.

65% and an ever lower weight.

Let's hope Cotto's team negotiates this right, and he makes some dough because he deserves it after choosing to fight very good guys.

I wonder what this fight is projected to do as far as money

does it mean like 6.5 mil for Pac, 3.5 mil for Cotto
or 13 mill for Pac 7 mil for Cotto.

Good on Cotto. 145 makes this a fair fight imho. 147 Cottos just too big, 143 he's a corpse too difficult to make. Being that Cotto weighed 146 for his last fight, shedding 1 lb for a man of pac's size is just perfect. Hurry up & lets get this on.

65 TO 35 is kind of crazy if you ask me.
Pac's a star but it's not like Cotto doesn't have a bunch of fans.
People think the PR's are only in NY and PR but that isn't really true.

Good choice by Cotto, **** team pac and their negotiations. They said 145 was fine, and now they are saying something else, make your decision already pac.

                  Good Job by Cotto.

Nice 1 Miguel. Stick to 145, if Pac wants a zombie Cotto at 143 or lower then forget it
