If Kessler goes through this tournament undefeated then goes onto beat Bute, it would be hard to say he didnt have a more impressive resume than Calzaghe.(providing he doesnt pick up a L before he retires.)

Then again he lost to Calzaghe head to head when he was in his prime.

If Kessler does go through all these names undefeated i would say he has the best resume of any 168 fighter but not the best fighter at 168.
Thats a pretty good way of putting it.

What has Kessler done to have you all on his **** like that?

He's a SOLID fighter that has been in against very limited fighters.

With his lack of headmovement...he'll be lucky to emerge from this tournament without getting KTFO.

When was the last time Kessler fought somebody with speed and KO power??

          how? idiot.

calzaghe - hopkins, kessler, jones, eubank, lacy, reid, mitchell, brewer

kessler if he wins - abraham, froch, taylor, ward, dirrell, andrade

calzaghe has unified the division and been champion for 10 years +, kessler can get close and solidify himself as the second best ever by winning this tourney but not the best.

Just remember that Joe's wins over BHop and Roy were not at SMW.

It's rediculous that Calzaggie fan boys are saying Joe was past his prime and Kessler was in it. Kessler is just recently stepping up the competition. Who knows maybe a few years from now he will be at his best...

so? he's a career smw in reality. guaranteed if hopkins didn't come back and win against tarver, wright and pavlik and light heavyweight his fans wouldn't be delusional enough to compare him to hagler after losing to taylor twice.

So? Was Hopkins as good at 25 as he was at 35? NO.

Physical prime doesn't necessarily mean fighting prime.

With the better competition he's fighting he will be getting better experience, fighting full time instead of being a mechanic on the side... tons of factors.
