the ref didnt DQ dib because dib is the damn star of the superboxer series on one HD, they had him interviewed the day of the fight, were hyping him like hes a world class fighter

it would be a dreadful anti climax if the main event fighter who has been the focus of a lot of the promotion (dib) was DQ'd, first round Ko however....

Good point. But don't you think that at least he should've taken a point from Dib and give the guy like 5 min. to recover, besides that was at the end of the round and he beat that count. That was a terrible mistake by the ref.

the ref should have let yamaguchi move on to the next round and possibly take a point away from dibb. i mean, he stepped off the edge of the ring, fell forward onto his forearms and had to sit back up before dibb even hit him.

How pathetic that kid was! It's damn true that those kinds of things can happen, but that's what the handlers of a fighter say, not what a fighter says. Besides, how was he qualified to disrespect Yamaguchi by pushing him back? The JP fighter tapped the ref in the chest, which was far from good. But that kid's action was totally unnecessary. Rudy Lopez did a similar thing to Naoki Matsuda when he lost their rematch. But Lopez was a man enough to apologize for what he did to Matsuda after the fight was over and sent an open letter to Matsuda himself and Japanese sports media. Dib is a winner, I'll give him that. But he should now know better with what to do. If not, then he should seriously think about changing his nickname from 'The Kid' to 'The Brat'.

What a ***** move by Dib, the hitting on the floor, pushing the fighter afterwards and then defending it in the interview. The Japanese should get a rematch but definitely won't. Easy to see why aussie boxing is a joke.
