  • I'm taking Abraham. He's a late starter and Jermain tires easily.

That's a good point Carnivore. And I'm picking Abraham to stop him late.

I imagine they're all bound tightly to contracts though, otherwise there's a million and one ways to duck out if the going gets too tough

        • Jermain Taylor says he is "not ready to be written off" as he prepares for the new Super Six World Boxing Classic event.

Former middleweight king Taylor returns to the ring to face the undefeated Arthur Abraham at super-middle in the German's home city of Berlin on October 17.

The American lost to Briton Carl Froch in his last outing back in April - his third loss in four fights - and his future has ben called into question.

However, he insists he will not be in Berlin simply to make up the numbers and has vowed to get his career back on track.

"If anyone thinks I'm lacking in confidence or feeling any pressure, they're dead wrong," said Taylor.

"Just because I've lost a few fights, I'm not ready to be written off.

"Sometimes a fighter can lose and get beat up with that loss. That has not happened to me.

"I beat myself in every fight I lost, but I have learned from my mistakes. I'm a better fighter because of the losses."

However, Taylor is under no illusions that tackling the German on his home patch will be anything other than a tough assignment.

"I know Abraham has a strong fan base in Berlin and he will have the hometown crowd on his side," added Taylor.

"But the pressure will be on him to perform in front of the hometown crowd and come away with the victory, not me.

"Sometimes the hometown crowd can work against you because you want to do so well.

"I respect Arthur as a fighter. He has good power and he's a smart fighter. I know he will be well prepared, but I smell victory in the air for this fight."

Members of Taylor's camp are also confident.

Trainer Ozell Nelson said: "We have done our homework on Arthur Abraham. We have looked at all 30 of his fights on tape and know exactly how we are going to fight him. Speed kills and we have speed on our side against Arthur."

          • Tyalor will win by decision. Abraham is far from proven at world level, and Taylor will expose him.

            • I feel sad for Jermaine Taylor and i hope he bounces back and shows what he showed against Hopkins or Edwards. I'm not picking for the one i think will win but for the one i hope will win.

              • I liked Taylor but he just hasn’t preformed since the Hopkins’ fights. He’s done well but never blew me away. Every fight since the second Hopkins fight I’ve wanted him to come in and make a statement but he never has. I don’t know how much he has left and AA always looks good and can take a punch.

                • So I guess the general opinion is that Taylor will probably get KOed, but if he doesn't he wins a decision?

I'll go with Taylor to win the decision, if he can get past his late fight problems he is one of the best, good enough to beat Abraham.

                  • Taylor wins unless Abraham is a new man at 168. Abraham has looked garbage since the Miranda win, poor workrate and too defensive. Yes, he hits hard but Taylor's KO's were from being tired not because he was caught flush. Abraham wont tire Taylor out so Taylor wins UD.

                    • My first and main prediction is Abraham by late KO.

Though this is a very winnable fight for Taylor. Abraham is not really much apart from a big puncher and Taylor has a size and reach advantage. As long as he doesn't gas out in the late rounds he should win a decision.
