Add Allen Green and Lucian Bute and then we'd really know. Green and Bute should battle sometime soon and make this tourney look like a joke. Whomever should win the tourney should fight winner of Bute/Green.

WELL DONE BOXINGSCENE with the news.

I actually think this is the BIGGEST "event" in boxing for some time now, this is a MASSIVE announcement.

Boxing has really hit a low for me lately (I made a thread on it like a month ago), but this news makes me so excited, ****s amazing.

why is everyone excited??? this means no pavlik vs abraham, jermain taylor (no commitment, stamina, confidence) - round robin, so fighters can afford to lose?? (never ever give a fighter an option - they should always have that never quit, never lose engraved in their fighting DNA) no lucien bute?? NO ALLEN GREEN? come on, i mean i honestly like Ward and Dirrell, but this tournament is too long, good idea, but bad logistics / rules / execution - they should have studied the HBO middle weight tourny, where hopkins won, to get a clue on how to put this thing together!! round robin is for basketball, baseball, etc.. not boxing, there should always be a win or go home mentality. Do not get me wrong i will watch, because i am a SERIOUS FAN OF THE SPORT!!! but Lou dibella should really get chin checked for not getting his better super middle weight into this tourney, he would have a far better chance of promoting his company with a charismatic warrior - and he cannot use the excuse that green doesn't have the name, that is the reason for this tourny for everyone involved to get the exposure they need - so his only fighter will suffer a ko in this, and the bad thing is, he will not be eliminated, so he might get ko'd 2x's - like i said in earlier threads, dibella must have alot of coin invested in taylor - the worst thing for that mans career was getting that bs gift decision from B hop the first fight - that was a dibella event!! and dibella was having that defamation lawsuit against hopkins...As you all see, i just wish the best fought the best and taylor is not the best right now...i have nothing bad to say about the other contestants because they are all at the top of their game or close to it - add green and bute to make it a tourny of 8 - smart asses....

this is the best news in boxing for years.

As a Brit I will be cheering for Froch, but think Kessler will win.

Would like to have seen Bute in there or Pavlik making the jump up.

But over all cant help but be over the moon at this!
