I'm looking forward to this fight, but I don't know how any reasonable-minded person thinks that Juan Manuel can win this fight without knocking out Mayweather. I'd rather see a Pac-Marquez trilogy than a Pac-Mayweather fight, despite what most other people seem to want. Marquez deserves it more.

^ In his last fight, Marquez was coming in at fight night weighing 140.

Against Manny at 130, he rehydrated 11 pounds. If anything, this catchweight will HELP JMM. He can come in at 142 or so, and not have to drain energy.
GOOD POST! I don't understand why people keep talking about
"Blown up Lightweight" in regards to Juan Manuel Marquez?
The guy has been weighing 140 when he fought at JR LW.
For this fight, he may come in at like 144/45 come fight night.
Manny has fought above and at 140 twice and still tried to get
Cotto down to 143/44 ain't and ain't no one saying anything
about that? Marquez got heart and the skills to match.
Floyd is taking a competitive fight after coming back off
      of a long lay off.

This post gives a solid argument except for the fact that at 140(ish) Marquez is hydrated. Mayweather is going to be dehydrated at 144 then bulk up to 155 or so I'd guess, maybe 160. JMM will end up like Paq in the DLH fight and come in at 148 or so, he still be giving up near 10 pounds. Though as stated while Maweather won't use his size to pressure JMM, the power difference will show up. JMM has been dropped, of course it was from Paq who I would say is more powerful than Mayweather even if both were at 147. This time though JMM will be the one being countered and I think he'll get dropped from the sheer mass amount of consistent power shots Floyd will land. Paq might have more power with shots that are BOMBS, but Floyd with just being bigger has more overall pop with all his punches and that's how I see the size being a difference.

And really, who cares if its at 147 or 144 he still chose a lightweight because he "called him out" while Mosley, Margarito and Cotto have stated they want Mayweater even before JMM did and he passed up 3 guys in his own division for JMM. Not taking away anything from JMM, but I don't see how people say Paq is going to lose to Cotto from just the sheer size and then its a non-issue in JMM vs Mayweather. I see a late round KO for Mayweather, 10-12 somewhere in there.

This is good news. Wouldn't it be funny if Floyd came into this fight light? That would be hilarious.

I agree... Mayweather is held to some unreal standards, though. I don't see who else he was supposed to fight coming off of a 2 year lay-off.

DLH didn't even get this much **** when he fought Forbes.

When have you ever seen Floyd Mayweather Jr come to the ring over
149? Even in his fight with Oscar (A Jr MW fight) Floyd weighed 148.
Cotto NEVER stated he wanted Mayweather. He said he would fight
and beat him but he has NEVER called him out.

When in the hell has Mayweather been dehydrated?

Better yet, when has he come in at 155? 160? I mean, he ate his way to the fight with DLH and STILL came in at about 150/149. What fighter are you talking about here homie? Lol..

Its true that Mayweather has been gone for a while and who knows how his weight will be since he has not been active. However Mayweather has never put on that kind of weight in the past so I wouldn't assume he would now.

Homie is making things up to support his beef with Mayweather
fighting Marquez even after you posted facts that Marquez will
be fine fighting at 143/44. Some people can't handled the truth.
Floyd verse Zab Judah, Judah came to the ring at 150 and Floyd
weighed 145 the same as he did at the weigh in. Floyd knows
how to maintain his weight and stay in shape.
