Not at all. I have epilepsy which is quite severe. The NHS was unable to adequately provide for me with waiting lists and all. The quality of care I get over here is MUCH better for what I have. In general, health should be free. I get that. At the end of the day - I get the proceedures I need, when I need them. I switched to private when I was in England but to be honest it wasn't much better - the problem is that the private systems still rely on NHS for a lot of things. 6 week wait for an MRI? That's just not cricket. (Speaking of which is anybody watching the ashes right now. My money's on us getting at least 400 runs by the time our innings is up).

I'm not trying to debate the merits and pitfalls of national health. For some people it's great, for others not so much. I'm just trying to say for me, it wasn't working out, so I did what I had to do.

You're 23 years old, you do have the chance. Get a trade, or an education, then you can move. There is nothing stopping you.
