Naz was the better fighter but Ricky obviously had more fans. There were a lot of Brits who wanted to see Naz lose, he got booed badly on his comeback fight after Barerra.

Btw....when were any of the fans "violent"?

That's because hatton and Pac are/were two of the only few marquee guys left, That's why.

I'm pretty sure Naz v Pac NOW would bring in far more than that. Though not saying Naz has much chance now.

          - Naz in his days had to compete against guys like De La Hoya, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Roy Jones, Hopkins, Morales etc. Yet still was one of the most popular ones.

-Who does hatton compete against now? Klitshcko? 45 year old Hopkins? Glen Johnson? Cotto ? The only two big names now are Mayweather and Pac. Aside from them, it's only fans of certain boxers who know that boxer.

A lot of people watched Hamed in hope he would lose. A lot of that had to do with Race. Khan suffers from this too. Hamed had a big fanbase, but he was also followed by many haters.

Hatton's fans are more loyal........but are not fans of boxing. Hatton's fanbase bring more of a patriotism thing, representing the working class white lad. That's why Hatton's fanbase is bigger.

This makes no sense. Hatton fillled drew bigger crowds than Naz before he even fought Tszyu. He sold 55,000 to fight Juan Lazcano.

Its about their personalities and Hatton's catered more to the public. Whereas Naz was more a "either love him or hate him" kinda guy.

Hatton has more fans but only cause Nas seemed to pi$$ off the whole world with his ****iness. Same as David Haye really.
