this reminds me of the tito jones hopkins scenario.cotto(the hopkins to tito's manny)is very similar stylistically to jmm.hopkins fought tito alot like oscar did tito sans running.it's going to be an intresting couple of fights.ts's logic makes no sense though.

Floyd doesnt care who wins...if Pac wins against Cotto it will show the world truly that Pac can stand in there with the bigger guys and do damage so now there wont be any excuses if Floyd was to beat him and thats one less elite fighter he will have to face...if Cotto wins it shows that Cotto is the more dangerous opponent thus if Floyd beats Cotto it means he beat the man who beat the man who took his crown!
So it makes sense to me that he would take his JMM fight say he beat the guy who he thought beat paquiao twice then beat the Cotto Pac winner instead of fighting both and taking two risks it makes more sense to just fight the winner.

I doubt Floyd controls that much. Arum set this fight up. And to say that fighting Cotto isn't a risk for either fighter is ****ing ******. Cotto is a very dangerous, and even more intimidating is his punching ability.
