The reason I say Floyd is because he knows that he needs that career defining fight.... That fight to cement his ATG status..... The fight that makes him a legend....

I dont think that Floyd would let Cotto go off and fight Manny if h e didnt think Manny was going to win.......

He would be out there campaigning and saying whatever he could say to get that fight with Manny.....

If he even had a shadow of a doubt that Cotto would win, he would have fought Manny ASAP....

But he sees Cotto as just another way to promote Manny vs Floyd....

I agree wit some of that. I don't think Pac is strong enuf to win, but Mr boat buyer likely does. That's the only reason I can think of as to why he ain't abandoned the JMM fight outright and tried to get to Pac 1st.

Manny wanted Cotto the night of Cotto - Clottey..... That means superior confidence in something.. What?? I dont know....

But Floyd must see it also..... He didnt even try to get the Manny fight.... He hasnt bad mouthed Cotto, so that when Pac does beat Cotto, it will look even bigger and better when he fights Mayweather.....

Mayweather fight JMM is just a way of Floyd trying out a lower weight and seeing if he can comfortably make it without physically draining himself....

I dont think that Floyd sees Cotto as any kind of threat at all.....

I think Floyd sees Manny as a challenge.... a fighter that would test his limits...

This thread doesn't make sense to me. Floyd cannot stop Arum from making an inhouse fight with Cotto-Pacquiao. That is most likely what he tried to do when he pulled out of JMM fight w/ injury.

imagine how big the fight will be, i think sportcenter/ espn will gonna feuture this fight frequently, the trademark brad pitt/catherine zeta jones attending in big fights.
