How come MP/MC is getting more attn here then JMM/FMJr?

Nah, I simply think that it's because of the difference between them. Marquez is a little dude, 36 years old and slowing down a lot, moving up two more weight divisions from a division he hardly belonged in in the first place fighting a guy that has a huge reach advantage and a pretty big height advantage and is a genuine WW, despite how many wankers will argue that point, who is still in his prime years. Basically, everyone knows that it is a mismatch but designed to look like a hard fight for him.

Hopefully Marquez fights better than ever and knocks the wanker out. Won't happen sadly, but we can always hope.

Reasons I can think of:

People probably think JMM is out of his depth at 140+.
Both are primarily counter-punchers, so an exciting fight isn't guaranteed.
Floyd isn't as big a draw as people think. Some lost interest since he retired, meanwhile other fighters have gone on to do some great things.


Why people are more interested in Pacquiao-Cotto: Two explosive fighters will undoubtedly create fireworks.

floyd only has a decent fanbase but not this 'huge' fanbase as he likes to call it. it was ricky and oscar who brought the fans. most of the casual ppv buying fans pay to watch him lose. now that they think floyd has a 90% chance of winning this, they probably wont waste a cent on it.

Simple, fight will be boring as hell and JMM has no chance of beating Floyd. He's going way to high up in the weight divisions, he's only a small dude and Floyd will probs KO him. Very sad to see but props to JMM for chasing the top dog even if he doesn't have a hope in hell.

JMM is not a boring fighter....neither was May when he was in the lower weights to be honest.
