He's the best ever. Great attributes along with personality and style. His style is transcendent and he'd be even more dominant today (as if that needs to be said).
He was a beauty to watch. You'll never get anyone as big as he was with the charisma to captivate the whole world.
I believe he is one of the best Heavies of all time. It wasn't just his fighting that made him big either, it was his whole character and what he did for his race etc.
He would most likely get a UD or SD over Lennox, Knockout Wlad, UD over Vitali.
UD over Louis, UD over Tyson, dont know enough about Dempsey to predict on how he would lose.
learn about boxing history before you post kid i got socks older than you.
Greatest HW of all time. Check his record! Those are some impressive names! The guy had it all, speed, heart, power, a chin.
Yes, Ali was the greatest... trashtalker. He invented rap.
I watched Chambers vs Sam Peter yesterday. Sam Peter (265 lbs!) was as fast as late Ali. Thus Ali was the Sam Peter of the 70ies, except that Ali was a powder puncher.
Ali is a featherfist, thus it's wrong that he had power. In his entire heavyweight career Ali scored 11 KOs within 12 rounds.
Ali's chin is a questionmark, since there were no hard hitters as nowadays and the hardest hitter (Foreman) was life threatened and probably drugged.
Ali was the king of a dire division. I would like to call it "Amongst blind featherfists the one-eyed featherfist is king" but unfortunately this title is already taken by half-blind Frazier (5'11.5'', heavyweight KOratio 50%)
His greatest achievement was to NOT rematch Foreman.
Except for a few cases his fights are usually a bore to watch: He clinches dirty ("Dirty Clay"), he insults and plays merry-go-round (= floating).
He has basically no defense (except merry-go-rounding and dirty clinching) and eats even slowest punches. Modern heavies would finish him within a few rounds.
His behaviour outside and inside the ring has often been disgusting.
