Yeah, SRR most definitely out ranks ALI as one of the greatest.

ALI the greatest? Yes and No. Yes, he was the greatest for his time; cleaning out everyone that was readily available from the late 60s to the mid 70s. His boxing skill and style at the time was superior, which may define him as the greatest. But to compare him by today's standards? I think he still might be considered the greatest, but because of the different training methods and techniques of today he seems pale in comparion.

However, because nobody to this day has achieved, imitated, or attempted to do what ALI did in his career (i'm talkin bout the whole dramatic package), he can still be considered the greatest. No one has come close to sharing the same qualities and colorful personality ALI had or has.

As far as Mayweather? The greatest? I don't think so. Maybe his boxing skills can be considered the greatest, but as a whole? I think he's far from it. ALI sold tickets, Mayweather doesn't.

Maybe the best Heavyweight, but indeed he gave himself way too much credit.
