Why isn't Paul Williams in the SMWT?

Paul Williams is not the one making it a money issue when it comes to making fights. Remember the so call 4mil to fight Rito but Rito chose lesser money to fight Cotto. PW said, he trying to build his resume. Not saying he will pass up the money. Yes, Winky is past his prime. Well, he shouldn't get in the ring and Winky new what type of fighter Paul was. PW was seeking a fight for Kelly and B-hop. It's not like he's not looking for fights. With Paul, it's not a money issue but want to give the fans what they want. (So he say) I never herd him complaining about money but don't think he's going to let someone short change him either. All these guys want to get paid and has to start some where. When you said, (quit pricing himself out) Price has not been a issue for him that I recall.williams knows that winky is old and way past his prime
williams knows that winky was coming off a loss
williams knows that winky was coming off a 2 year layoff
is any of those his fault? not at all, but it's his damn fault that he keeps marketing himself as the most feared opponent while there are lots of options out there for him
you can't expect mosley, cotto, floyd, etc to take the bait if you're still a nobody in terms of drawing power
look at it this way. you have a hundreds of thousands of fans. you've been in tons of mega fights. you've defended titles a dozen times. suddenly, two people challenge you. one guy has a padded record and is a bum of your size, and the other one is a guy that beat a top champ and has half a foot of height and reach over you, but lost his only title defense. neither of them as any drawing power, so both fights would leave you the same amount of money
who would you fight between them?
i'll leave you with that, i'm drooling on my keyboard lol. good night and think about it. there's really no sense in fighting pwill when he sells even less than gomez or baldomir. if pwill REALLY wants to be in mega fights, he better work on his resume and work his way up. beating margo just to lose his next fight isn't the way, but he's young and can work on that again
Yeh, we can say, "High risk low reward". (A L too) My thing is, why all of a sutten, these guys jumped on the money wagon? I thought they wanted to give the fans what they wanted. Yeh, sounds good on TV. I think it's the heat he brings to the fight is the problem. He's trying to get a fight now.Comment

I didnt know being a 6 foot 2 skeleton all the sudden made you a legit smw...
hell he should just fight at heavyweight... hes tall enough right?
I mean.... as long as hes tall thats all that matters, right?
Especially for someone like Paul Williams... who uses his height when he fights.... right?

If he can make the weight I see no problem. If he's as big as many think than it should be a disadvantage to punish your body to make weight.Comment

If someone can make the weight then they can fight in any weight class. It's totally fair. Williams saw his opportunities at 147 and took them. Luckily with his frame he can fight anywhere between 147 and 160 and be very competitive.Comment

It's called revenge mexican.and it still doesn't erase the loss from the books.
I used to think PW was super badass as well.
However, its evident he doesn't really want to tangle with guys in the higher classes. He seems to know his chin won't hold up to that kind of power and with his small frame, he'd get punched through.
Theres a reason why he won't get in with the A class of mw,
cause he doesn't want any.
Paul got REVENGE on Q's ass by planting him face-first on the canvas.
Too bad Tony didn't have the nuts to avenge his loss to Williams...he saw what happened to Quintana and said:
"I have nothing to prove to Paul Williams"
