Of course Im glad everyone is focusing on the power aspect..........the one which I consider least important in a Calzaghe vs Hopkins fight.

Listen a fighter is defined by his resume. Floyd has all the skill in the world, but he will not fight anyone hence why he isn't ranked highly anymore. Also Pascal and Taylor **** all over Mundine and Andrate/ Froch is better than Kessler in that regard. Kessler is a big what if, since we do not know how he would do against the best because he hasn't fought them.

Done to death. Joe C barely eked out a SD in 2008. Bhop would win.

this is how i see it going,
i see Bhop using alot of lateral movement and counterpunching, and letting calzaghe take the lead, i see calzaghe trying to keep up with Bhop around the ring trying to throw a ton of punches, but not being able to due to Bhops ring generalship and movement, makeing calzaghe's workrate go down, but calzaghe would have his momments when bhop gets trapped by out working him, but this would be rare due to bhops countering and slipping,

i see a close bhop UD

take away pascal and taylor and what do you have. kessler has beaten 6 world champions/former world champions in his career, froch has beaten 2.

i see calzaghe via UD, workrate and increased power unlike in 2008 would cause hopkins to retreat even more so.

LOL at this thread. Hilarious **** from Dirk.

As has already been said countless times its a close fight, a very close fight.

To the individuals saying a prime Hopkins stops Calzaghe - you are nuts. Calzaghe has a great chin and it isn't like Bernard was a KO merchant in his prime.

The fight is definately going the distance and I definately see it being either a MD or a SD. Who wins? I think it all depends on Calzaghe's ability to adapt. I think Bernard would have the better of it early as he did in their actual fight, but I don't think I have ever seen a fighter that was better at adapting to suit his opponent's fight plan than Calzaghe. If he can adapt effectively his workrate and speed would have seen him win a tight decision IMO. If not, Hopkins probably just gets it.

But yeah, it is a pretty difficult fight to arrive at a strong conclusion on.
