I cant see any other outcome then UD Joe, if however Bhop used the tactics from there actual fight and was more aggressive at times he wins imo.
Bernard was more agressive in his prime and loved to ****. Bernard would win by landing the cleaner and harder punches. Calzaghe pitty patting and shoe shining won't mean **** if he's eating power shots...

I'll take the lead, if you dont mind Dirk. After all, Hopkins was the toughest fight of Joe's career. And bar a Prime Roy Jones, I dont believe Hopkins fought a better opponent. So we can forget their respective resumes. Styles make fights afterall

Style wise, they cancel each other out imo. Calzaghe struggles against cagey, defensive fighters where he has to take the lead and is prone to counter right hands.

Whereas Hopkins struggles with speed and activity. Punches in bunches from an assortment of angles will offset his timing and ability to counter.

Both fighters have been down but have great chins. Dont see any KOs. Either way its a close fight, similar to the one they fought.

Glad we had this conversation, Dirk.

        ill give you my oppinion,
Bhop would probbably use alot of lateral movement and counter whenever he got trapped, i see calzaghe trying to keep up with bhop around the ring, with his workrate not as good as it usally is, i see Bhop dominating the mid to late rounds with his counter punching and ring generalship.

Difference is Bernard has never been hurt...and Bernard wasn't entirely defensive in his prime. He has a better killer instinct than Calzaghe...Calzaghe is no RJJ

the majority of yanks say hopkins,

some of the limeys say calzaghe.

more yanks than limeys results in hopkins winning the poll.

                same ****, different thread.

who seriously gives us a toss.

this did not happen so why bother talking about it.

They did fight and Calzaghe won a split decision.

make a poll asking whether pavlik is elite or not.

calzaghe has been hurt one time, in his last ever fight when he was 37 years old. he was hurt by a forearm shot and recovered throwing punches back within 10 seconds.
