I don't think people care about race when they talk about boxing. Most fans want to see a good fight, which for most means two guys beating the crap out of each other, regardless of race. If a fighter has a crowd pleasing style, he will get praise from fans all around the world, but if you're a boring fighter then don't expect much appreciation from boxing fans. But even with boring styles, if someone knows enough about boxing they will recognize, without prejudice, the talent present to be able to avoid getting hit with punches or something like that. Like someone mentioned earlier, if anything, it has more to do with country rivalries - like the Olympics - rather than actual racial rivalries. And even though I will cheer for a Mexican fighter over a Japanese fighter or a British fighter or whatever, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good k.o. or good fight regardless of who wins.

Explain to me why I never see black fans cheer for white boxers when the white boxer is fighting a black opponent.

Blacks rooting for blacks over whites = good
Whites rooting for whites over blacks = bad

I wonder which fight they were watching? Calzaghe has defeated "black hope" after "black hope" but is criticized by the media for fighting a supposed post-prime racist in Bernard Hopkins and known steroid user Roy Jones Jr. Some even say Joe "slaps" when he punches. My response to that is to watch the Calzaghe vs. Jeff Lacy fight.

Two other white fighters that are constantly criticized by the media are Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko. Wladimir did suffer a few bad losses earlier in his career but now is as dominant as ever. He has defeated countless black fighters but this is never enough. The heavyweight division is supposedly "very weak" at this point, meaning, in Caste-speak, that there aren't any black champions.

Vitali Klitschko is one of the best heavyweights of all time. He has never been down in a fight and has the highest knockout percentage of any heavyweight at 97 percent. Can a fighter be more dominant than that? I highly doubt it is possible. The one thing holding the Klitschko brothers back at this point is their skin color.

Most Black boxing fans are fair to white boxers.

I've noticed the Black commentators give white boxers deserved recognition, like HBOs Fran Charles recognized Wlad's talent in Wlad vs. Jefferson, and saw Pavlik's potential in Pavlik vs. Zertuche. Manny Steward and Gus Johnson are always fair to white fighters.

No, it's self-hating white men who seem to despise every white boxer.
