African american are more succesful in most sports, than most other racial groups, not only boxing.
The success in boxing comes from a mixture of genetic ability, such as large amounts of naturally occuring fast twitch muscle and possibly generally stonger chins. Also, environmental factors such as large amounts of poverty in the black community in America creates a primitive hunger to suceed at all costs that many white middle class colledge kids simply dont have. This hunger is more important than anything else in boxing I think. For the same reason many decent gyms are in largely black areas, the trainers and other boxers are black and there is a black style of boxing in America, which centres on slick counter punching compared to the mexican/irish style of coming forward with your hands up. Which is why many great fights are between mexican and black fighters, because styles make fights.

slick & black roger mayweather was beaten by slow latino JCC...

fast & athletic (with great handspeed) mckinney was beaten by slow flat footed pinoy luisito espinosa...

the great, powerful, fearsome, slick, fast, super boxer nate campbell was beaten by a smaller black latino fighter ( francisco lorenzo)who was beaten in turn by an even slower latino humberto soto who was incidentally beaten by another slick & fast non-american black fighter who lives in new york...

      damn it jackson & campbell...

African-Americans are good only in sports that requires physical advantage because they are big and strong...That's their main asset...You can rarely find an African-American in sports that requires a great deal of thinking like billiards, poll, chess, and other sports that doesn't require physical advantage but rather superior thinking...

I agree that poverty is the main reason why they excel... but sometimes, the history is the biggest problem of United States... ask me in PM why...

Anyways Judah/Mayweather/Mosley are all faster than Pacman. Pacman looks fast when he shadowbox, but in the ring he isn't that fast

          Anyways you are Asian
You're a clown. First of all, I don't have anywhere near 44K posts. Secondly I'm not Asian, I'm American.

This is extremely ****** and lacks any depth. They don't excel at sports that require superior thinking? I take it you don't play sports?

I said you can rarely find... I am not saying they don't excel and I am not saying they don't have minds... don't make me a racist because I'm not.

I knew alot of the top punchers of all time were black but, that was the common stereotype for black fighters, i don't believe that ****, I'm half black myself but, thats what people thought.

I didn't call you a racist, I called you ******. You have to be to think they don't excel at sports that don't require "superior thinking." I had no idea the game of pool - a game where you hit a ball in the hole with a stick - required more thinking than boxing, where a well-trained athlete spends 48 minutes attempting to make you submit.

Actually the term African-American should not even refer to race. That's a misuse of words. Because many WHITE people are in fact African-Americans. LOL If Corrie Sanders comes to the US to live, then he's an African-American. It's absurd, actually. It's like saying "I'm a French-American. That means I'm white." Like there's no black people in France.

But you know, some people are sensitive, and it's an old term, so it'll die hard. But it's the single most absurd term we have for race or skin-color, naming it after an actual continent.
