You think Kendall Holt is slow

    Dumb-ass mofo

The fact that you had to include a retired fighter...an old heavyweight...and 3 non-Black americans proves you couldn't find PLENTY slow AA fighters as you claimed.

You obviously didn't see Micheal Moorer at 175..

Jean Pascal is hardly a slow fighter...even though he is Canadian born.

I understand what you are saying. However, that's the way he had chosen to go. He had always had a pride in his African roots. Despite what many people told him, he retained his African name. He refused to be called 'Barry' in his early 20s cause that was a white name. In life, you can choose what you want to be called and who you want to be. I don't question what he says he is. Read his book: Dreams from My Father.

It's because he would look silly saying he is white because his skin color is not white. No mixed person of note says they are white if they dont look white, they would be viewed as silly and he knows he would be alienated by the black race if he only went by white.

What does that have to do with him being called Barry instead of Barack?

Nothing I suppose, but in the book he never directly says why he reverted back to Barack, he went by Barry for a long time trying to fit in, I could care less its just a name.

Just checking. I wasn't sure how your point fit in with the previous poster's assertion.

***** is more educated and sophisticated than your simplistic answer. His denial of the white part stems more from racial injustice in the States to which he was as well subjected as a youngster than his desire to be embraced by blacks. Pass no judgement on issues you have no knowledge of.

In the book, he actually corrects a few people, saying 'it's Barack' after they call him 'Barry'. And, many told him to drop Hussein, but he just laughed at that. The man has balls, and look where he's at now. Weak ones would have sold out quickly.

Im not passing judgement, I going by whats in the book, you did read it correct? Or at least listened to it? He didnt give the "answer" youre coming up with from who knows where.

Well the common stereotype for black fighters were, they all had good footwork, handspeed, and a little pop but, Couldn't really go the distance in other words they were frontrunners(gassed out).
