Ortiz/ Maidana post fight press conference: What the hell is wrong with V. Ortiz?

Welcome to The Ring. The bible of boxing. All access to boxing's latest news, matches, fights and events.

If you look at this you'll at least be as shocked as i am. Look at 3:40, how the attitude of Ortiz is indecent, casual and irresponsible.
The motha****a lost a big fight and is acting like it's all fun and games. I never saw that before and i think it's the most disrespectful thing i've seen in boxing history. It's a slap to the face of all mexican boxing fans and other guys who rooted for Ortiz.
It started out with the end of the fight and now the damn thing continues. Look at Oscar's face in the background and you'll see how pissed Golden boy is of Ortiz's attitude.

It looks like he was paid by Bob Arum or somethin to **** up Golden Boy Promotions.(I don't really believe that but it's to put the emphasis on Ortiz's unbelievable behaviour)

Well, he is basically saying in that interview that he DIDN'T give up, or signal to give up, and that he would have fought on had the ref not stopped the fight.

      He lied..he clearly gave up.

Before the ref called him over to the doctor he was shaking his head no and rolling his eyes like a girl.

The kid is very likeable but them denying that he quit is just laughable. He even said that he quit in the post fight interview. Goldenboy excuses are pathetic everyone saw that he quit just admit it and move on.

ya that was kind of shocking to me at the interview in the ring where he was talking with giant smile on his face, it's like he doesn't care about quitting while ahead and losing the fight.

You guys should cut him some slack. He's young and it's his first loss. He should learn from this and come back stronger. However, if he quits again then by all means ridicule him all you want.

I think Ortiz is just a bit of a dumb ass, he's a nice guy but tries to hard to act a certain way and doesn't think much before he talks. I'm sure he will learn to think before speaking in the future, I think De la hoya and Mosley must have drilled his ass for the things he said post fight.

People deal with this stuff in different ways, maybe he was just self conscious and all the smiling was nervousness and such. Cut him some slack.

looking at the whole interview he genuinely seems upset.
