you want to save boxing, then get everyone to work together rather than against each other just as the mma guys are doing. One belt as well, one champion only per division. That would make these guys have to fight to earn a shot.............Rockin'

Not quite right, Rockin. It's not so much that the different MMA head honchos are getting their heads together and working it out. It's more like the UFC is this "big bully" on the block and everybody else is small potatoes.

What happens when the UFC finally meets its match and all these MMA fighters have more than one option? Then you've got a scenario that's gonna be similar to what boxing is now. There's no other MMA promotional company that rivals the UFC. It's almost like a monopoly.

In a way, MMA is running into the same problem as boxing re matching up the best of the best ,especially the lower weight classes .

Here's what I mean, Dana White has been vocal about wanting to bring the top Japanese fighters, who are mostly in the lower weights, because the Japanese fighters in some ways are like the Mexican boxers of the lower weight classes in MMA. But guess what, it's been shown to be very difficult, because the Japanese make d*mn good $$$ in their home country and have contractual obligations. So, we're not really seeing the best pitting the best when we watch the WEC.

In boxing you've got DKP, Top Rank, GBP, and the rest vying for the same spot, and I haven't even mentioned the ABC organizations.

I agree on almost all your points except for the no other rival to UFC. At one point there was and UFC bought them out. It could happen. GPM and Top Rank could buy out all the other small corporations and force there fighters to face each other. Don't get me wrong lately Top Rank is doing a dam good job of entertaining us look at Cotto and Pacquiao and there level of opposition. And then you have the rest. Gary Shaw's B@tch ass not wanting to let Vic fight Donaire is a prime example.

Of course, in a perfect world everyone would be working together.

The thing is though, I don't think "working together" can be consistent in boxing, how can it be, you have all these different parties wanting that same pie!!

The problem is,there's not enough "pie" to go around. Teddy Atlas has the best idea so far, but he doesn't really know how to go about it either. He always says that there has to be one ruling body, just one single boxing commission for the entire country!

Someway, somehow, boxing must find a way to court major sponsors to put events together to get rid of these f**kin' promoters and these sleazy alphabet orgs.

At the end of the day it's these sc*mbag promoters/alphabet orgs that are the root of evil in boxing. Boxing needs to take a page from the WTA(tennis) and PGA(golf) both individual sports that have one ruling body!!

This is how you save boxing...
Brainwash all the ****** fucks who think the past is the best thing ever and nothing will ever amount to it.

When people stop saying "No one from the modern era can beat the old school guys", only then Boxing will be saved. Because only then will people appreciate the present day fighters.
