Great weight for him but most of the east europeans are too big, Chambers can use his speed but he might be at a disadvantage.
Eddie Chambers weighs in at an amazing 208 !!!!

I would rather a fighter make decent money and be the best than get put in the ring with someone he doesnt belong in there with. Also in case you didnt notice the HW division cant even get unification fights on PPV so its not like there is tons of superstar money availableComment

I don't see how Chambers does not belong since he is a top 10 ranked heavyweight.I would rather a fighter make decent money and be the best than get put in the ring with someone he doesnt belong in there with. He should go down if he loses this fight decisively. Otherwise he has no reason to fight at cruiserweight.Comment

Im not hating on whats hes done at HW, good for him. He stands a chance in this fight, and it should be pretty good. I just dont give him any chance against the champ. A fight between him and Wladimir generates no interest, and is a pretty easy fight to pick. It would be a pretty odd business decision to move him until he loses, but he would be very good at CW better than he is at Heavy.Comment

Great news. I like Eddie alot but until he got rid of the flab, I found myself always holding back my support a little for someone who ostensibly didn't take his job seriously, or so it looked.
Now Arreola needs to fannying around get down to a decent weight. You don't get that many shots at greatness, you can scoff the pizzas when you're retired.Comment

Same goes for David Haye, although a fight between he and Wladimir generates more interest, he gives up 30 lbs and 4 inches just like Chambers and it is just as easy fight to predict.Im not hating on whats hes done at HW, good for him. Haye stands no chance against Wlad, yet people aren't saying he should have stayed at Cruiser just because he can't beat the #1 heavyweight in the world.Comment

imo its more important to focus on your own weight and getting yourself into the best physical condition you can be rather than thinking 'okay i need to go into this fight heavier' or 'i need to go into this fight lighter than my last one'.
the likes of tyson and holyfield in their primes weren't big but they came in at the best condition and the best weight for themselves. thats what made them great champs
if vlad was to sign up to fight valuev do you think he would say to himself 'okay i need to be more mobile and box and move with this guy so i need to be 240' and against a smaller opponent think too himself 'okay i need to make this guy know hes the smaller man so i need to be 250'.
no you get yourself in the best possible condition you can, irrespective of the opponent.Comment

I don't think any heavyweight has much of a chance against Wladimir. Perhaps they should all go down to the cruiserweight division.Same goes for David Haye, although a fight between he and Wladimir generates more interest, he gives up 30 lbs and 4 inches just like Chambers and it is just as easy fight to predict.
