He wasnt trying to test himself those in those fights which has a lot to do with him losing those fights. I think he underestimated all 3 of them and punched himself out against two of them. Fights that were supposed to test him were Chris Byrd 1 which was his first step up against world class opposition, he won every round. Jameel McCline his first step up against another big man with skills, he won damn near every round. Sam Peter to see how he reacted against a big puncher after the KO losses, he won almost every round. Sultan Ibragimov his first chance at unifying the titles and he won almost every round. Call him boring but to say the three losses were his biggest tests is ridiculous.
Wlad's been tested and failed 3 times....

Can you explain what you are talking about? A stiff arm is thrown from the shoulder to a persons face to keep them away from you. As I understand it thats the whole concept of throwing a jab whats the illegal part?If it is P4P most boring then yes he is #1.....Bat my beef is not that he never takes chances it is that he never really tried to put his opponents away even after everyone in the house including the announcers were calling for him to do it. he never threw one hook the entire fight I don;t have the punch stats in front of me but I don;t remember seeing one hook even after he had Chagev hurt. I DO NOT DISLIKE WLAD I thinkhe is a very intellegent man and a genuinely good guy. He is highly skilled but in my mind he has been tested and failed and what we got out of those tests is the fighter he is today very slow moving very calculated and exteremly boring......As for what Larry said in a prior post yes turning your weakness into stength undersandable but you cant turn a bad chin good if it gets tapped it will shatter again and he knows it. the reff allows him to hold in Germany and use his jab like a stiff arm as well which excessively are both illegal....Lefty -
I will not listen to you say that Wlad is dirty. He just might be the cleanest fighting HW champion in history and I'm sure you know it when you think about it.If it is P4P most boring then yes he is #1.....Bat my beef is not that he never takes chances it is that he never really tried to put his opponents away even after everyone in the house including the announcers were calling for him to do it. he never threw one hook the entire fight I don;t have the punch stats in front of me but I don;t remember seeing one hook even after he had Chagev hurt. Lewis-holding and hitting
Holy-Every trick in the book. Butts, elbows etc.
Tyson-Biting, wrestling
And so on...............
Maybe the announcers called for it on yank TV. I don't know since I saw it in my own language. But as far as I can tell from the posting on this forum and from boxingscenes own reporters (most notably Jake Donovan) american commentating on Wlad or Vitali for that matter is extremely negative. I don't care who you are but for sure it will help create the viewers opinion wheter you want it or not.
One of the prime examples of this is the Holy-Valuev fight. Nearly everyone who watched on streams or yank tv had Holyfield winning lopsided while nearly all the reporters ringside thought the fight was very close and most probably had Valuev winning. I had Holy winning too. But only by a point. I watched it in german but I don't listen to the commentator simply because the language is slightly tough for me to comprehend.Comment

Are you saying that Wlad is dirty? I hope i misinterpreted your statement. Wlad is probably the cleanest HW champion in history. Dirty stuff from yesterdays champs are endless and I'm sure you know it:If it is P4P most boring then yes he is #1.....Bat my beef is not that he never takes chances it is that he never really tried to put his opponents away even after everyone in the house including the announcers were calling for him to do it. he never threw one hook the entire fight I don;t have the punch stats in front of me but I don;t remember seeing one hook even after he had Chagev hurt. Lennox: Holding and hitting
Holy: Butting, elbowing, low blows etc.
Tyson: Biting, wrestling
Need I go on?
You might be a bit prejudiced towards wlad given that you watch him with yank commentators. From what I read from posters on this board and from boxingscene's own reporters (most notably Jake Donovan) the yank commentators are heavily biased against the klit's. I don't care who you are or how knowledgeable you are but commentating influences your opinions wheter you like it or not.
A prime example of commentators influence is Holyfield - Valuev. Almost everybody who watched the yank transmission had Holyfield winning a lopsided decision while every report I read from those reporters who were ringside either said the fight was close or had Valuev winning. Prime example is the fightwriter, the great Graham Houston himself.
I watched the fight in german but I don't listen to it simply because it's hard for me to understand witout concentrating more on what they are saying than the fight itself. I scored the fight a one point win for Holy but also noted that a lot of the rounds were close and could have gone either way.Comment

First I make a post which mysteriously just dissapears. 10 min. later I give it a go again and then it disapears again. This time I copied it so I wouldn't have to do it again and then I had another go.
And here they are. .......... At the top of the thread. Hey BPP how about restoring some order in your house goddamnit!

Wlad's been tested and failed 3 times....
I saw a post about HW's and some one talking about a tournament and in that thread someone mentioned Wlad and he would like to see him tested by a real HW. How quick we forget that he has been tested and he failed miserable. Corrie Sanders, Brewster and when Wald was 24-0 he fought Ross Purity who was 24-13 at the time (he finished 30-20) and Wlad failed that night too TKO Round 11...Since then Wlad has become a very good HW with a glass chin. The fact he knows he has a glass chin makes him a very cautious HW he uses his jab and size on the inside by smothering his opponent anytime they get close enough to land a punch. the result is a very boring afair where Wlad dominates by keeping his opponent at bay with numerous jabs slowly moving around the ring at the distance that suits him pawing with his jab throwing a hard jab sort of liek a sitff arm jab and then a straight right. Very slowly methodically and boring...He has took over and dominated a divison of rejects putting his brother in the #2 spot like a NASCAR team to block anyone who might be a threat to him. Remember shake and bake from Talidaga Nights? Shake and Bake Shake and Bake....Wlad and Vitali....Wlad has been tested and failed now he reinvented himself and personally I rather watch tthe grass grow in the dead of winter than ever watch Wlad fight again....LeftyComment
