Where is DLH's pride ?

Most agree he made a HUGE mistake in coming back down to 147 by dieting and coming in at 147 on fight-night. He messed up big-time and he finished himself off as a fighter.
He is smart to leave the game. It would have been even smarter to have left after the loss to Floyd where many gave him a lot of credit despite losing (all while being past his prime).
So what is Oscar doing?
He is using this:

and understands he is lucky to still have not only his brain intact but this....

And this...

And.....

You can look at this one or two ways....I understand the point you are making and to not want to see the last images of yourself after a long and prosperous career sitting on your stool with a look of disgust all beaten up and calling it quits because you know in your mind you cannot compete with the man across the ring from you. It is a hard pill to swallow. The thought of well maybe I was weight drained and I should have never come down to 147lbs in the first place. Yeah I hear that fans who have love for ODLH and he himself have a hard time seeing those images in their heads. It is understandable and perfectly natural. Only he himself knows the truth about that night and how he felt going into the fight. Whether or not the weight played a part in it or if it was just him not having enough left. Based upon his decision and probably being influence by his loving and caring wife Millie he decide he did not have enough left to fight.
When he fought Forbes he did not look that good against a smaller lesser fighter. He carried the fight to a decision sure it was a lopsided decision but he was getting hit with ****** punches and took more punishment from the feather fisted Forbes. A bigger punchers would have given Oscar more trouble in that fight with him being so readily available to be hit like that. Sure Oscar could come back for one more fight put it on regular HBO fight in the Staples Center in LA and get in there with a B Class fighter in the 154lb division. maybe that fighter could be named Chavez Jr? You would think Oscar would crush him right? Well so do most Chaves hasn’t shown much in his fights against no names and you would think Oscar still has enough left to beat a fighter like that but not enough left to compete with the Miguel Cotto's and Joshua Clottey's of the game. All in all he had a great career and his promotional company is more than enough to keep him heavily involved in boxings future....LeftyComment

I dissagree, Mosley is in much better shape at this stage than Oscar. Mosley had an off night IMO against Cotto and still could have gotten a decision there. Mosley was naturally faster than Oscar and still retains some of that speed. Oscar is DONE, I'm telling you, he's finished. It happens sometimes in boxing like that, fighters get old quick.I agree with that, but i dont think DLH is no more past it than Mosley is.
Mosley decided to keep on going though and it paid off. Mosley's reflexes looked as bad against Mayorga & Cotto as Oscar's did against Forbes. Cotto was hitting Mosley and sliding away from him before Mosley could react, while that fight closed up on the scorecards Mosley was second best when his reflexes were tested.
Jones is what i consider shot, DLH is past his best but i dont think he is shot, plus DLH is a more of a conventional fighter who is still able to take a punch.
I can see your argument though and i can understand why you are against it. I dont want to see him go out like that thats all
freddy Roach said the only reason he took the Oscar fight was because he saw he had nothing left against Forbes, he knew and even Oscar knew. In sparring, valero hurt Oscar badly and they had to stop the session. Oscar isn't the same man. It's better for him to realize than to have some meaningless fight or go out like Roberto Duran or Macho Camacho. I respect Oscar for calling it quits.
I'm talking about p4p wise crackhead. Of course it would have been ****** if Pacquiao fought Oscar in his prime in Oscars weight class. But Pacquiao is the better fighter since his opponents can't even hit him in his last 3 fights because of his footwork.
You don't watch boxing do you, and why you got calz in your avatar? Go put Roy back in it, *****.
Who ju callin a crack head?Comment
