It makes for an interesting thread... I for one will always fight my fighters corner.. This normally starts with a fierce, but constructive debate..
However... This will then wind up a thread mugger, who will then take it upon himself to insult 'your' fighter.. I'd say, this is how the hype intensifys..
On a plus, it livens things up between the fans/posters, more often than not resulting in some really funny abuse..
On a minus, it discredits professional boxers..
But as the thread poster rightly points out, Newcastle Utd never win ****..

It was a good fight up until he got hurt in the 6th round and turned his back on the reff....The comment he made in the post fight interview with max were what was sickening to me....Lefty

people make too big a deal about him quitting.

he had a cut on one eye , his other eye was busted up , i'm sure he was tired as hell.

let's wait and see what he does the next time he gets tested.

          the kid is 22.
He is still young and he has a great future but I wouldn't invest to much time in him if I was GBP. I would get him in there with a lesser opponent and let him get his confidence back. I mean I don;t want to see kid gloves wrapped upon him like Berto but I wouldn;t mind seeing him in there with another young fighter and have him get tested again....If he goes out like a punk again then we got to write him off.....Lefty

The kid, Ortiz, is a hell of a good little fighter. He deserves some hype with the skill that he posseses. Ortiz is young and for whatever reason fought mandianas fight, plain and simple. Ortiz as I said is young and will mature. I believe that this loss for ortiz came at a perfect time, to open his eyes just a little wider to what exactly stands in front of him in this game.

As for him possibly quiting, I honestly thought that he did when speaking to the ref, he is young and will live to fight another day. That night was just not his night, happens to everybody somewhere down the line............Rockin'
