Pryor even beat Tommy Hearns when they were amatuers. Aaron Pryor was a bad dude in those days. Even he great Sugar Ray Leonard didn't want to fight him.
Arguello had 80+ pro fights, and took a horrendous beating in the first fight. It's not a surprise if Arguello wasn't the same after the first fight.

Pryor's size and style always would've caused real problems for Arguello regardless though. I thought he was winning pretty handily going into the last round.

Leonard was willing to fight Pryor, he just wasn't willing to offer him more than half a mil.

Anyway, we'll probably never know what was in the bottle, much like we'll probably never know which (if any) fights Margarito loaded for before Mosley.

Although Arguello was friendly with Pryor, he still apparently had some bitterness. I remember in an article of The Ring (or KO, can't remember for sure) where they talked about the IBHOF induction weekend. It talked about how Pryor and Arguello were very friendly and posed for pictures, but Arguello still mentioned being upset about the bottle situation, and even taking a cheap shot at Pryor's personal problems (which seems very un-Arguello-like). When Pryor found out later about Arguello's drug and personal problems, he referred back to Arguello's comments, but was classy about it and said something to the extent of "everyone makes mistakes".
