what was my point from all that? To show one semi-logical reason that the heavyweights of the 70s are at LEAST on par with the heavyweights today.
I mean, if old man versions of the last generation can rival the next generation, that last generation must have been pretty good, right?haha

When I was young and first getting in to boxing, I thought the current champions were the best ever. Then the championships changed hands a few times and I dug in to the history of the sport. Now I realize how silly I sounded when I was younger.
