I think that needs to be clarified because clearly that isn't common knowledge on these boards.
Carry on.
Jr WW is 140
You're excused.

I dont think its right for titles to be on the line for catchweight fights. Its true that Welterweight is 141 - 147 lbs . 147 lbs is the maximum weight limit but its like saying im the best welterweight in the world but only if the normal maximum weight rules dont apply. IMO if you're the best welterweight in the world , you shouldnt need to change the maximum weight rules.
Im still looking forward to the fight but this is just something i dont like about it.

You don't have to weigh 141 pounds you can weigh anything less then 147, 135, 126 whatever the person wants aslong they will sanction the fight. If one person can come in where they want what is wrong with the other person also comming in at what they want~.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 06-30-2009, 03:59 PM.

If this fight is going to be for the welterweight belt then cotto should be allowed to weigh in at 147, which is the maximum limit for welterweight. If there are stipulations preventing cotto from doing this then no belt should be on the line cause cotto didn't get the full benefit of fighting in the weight class. Pac is the one trying to move up in weight to fight the big dogs, not the other way around. He should fight in one division or the other, with all the normal rules applying on both sides if he wants a belt.
