Then how can he call himself the World Welterweight champion?
He thinks he's a natural Jnr Welterweight, and so does Roach. Neither of them believe he's a natural Lightweight any more. And he was the first Jnr Welterweight Hatton had ever faced, in nearly four years as The Ring's world Jnr Welterweight champion, who looked physically stronger and more powerful than Hatton in the ring. Given that, and given the way he destroyed Hatton, I would be astonished if he was unable to be competitive at Welterweight.
And in any case, you're missing the point, because this thread isn't about whether it's fair or not, it's purely about whether it's right for a world Welterweight title to be on the line in a catchweight fight.
