Some of what Arum says may be true.
I really like Victor Ortiz how can anyone not like the guy but even I have to question his heart.
Now.
I am no fan of Arum in fact I cant stand him becuase all he cares about is money and he is CONSTANTLY bad mouthing fighters.
We all know Arum has no morals and all he cares about is money....witness his nuthugging of Plasterito.
Any fighter Arum doesnt control is a bum just ask him.
Bob Arum has gone on and on and on about FLoyd Mayweather and him losing his "0".
He said that lots of good fighters lost and its no big deal.
Then his says that a fight Golden Boy is promoting is a fight of "losers"
WTF?
This is why I dont like him.
Vicor Ortiz can recover from this and go on to be a great fighter but first he needs a NEW trainer.
He is often compared with Fernando Vargas but Feroz was MUCH better and farther along at 22 than Ortiz is.

golden boy started it.
they were taking shots at cotto-pacquiao because they don't want pacquiao to fight cotto.
they have no say in pacquiao's fights unless it's with a golden boy fighter.
arum has the right to say something when it comes to ortiz because he gets a cut of ortiz's earnings.Comment

I agree that Arum makes a good point. This is why I now know that Showtime is the best boxing network: No rights, great fights. Sure, after a fighter 'outgrows' Showtime they end up on HBO or in PPV but at least with Showtime, we will never have the Roy Jones's vs. police officers, Floyd Jr vs. no hopers, Wlad Klit vs the Rahmans of the world, etc. Showtime gives us Vasquez vs Marquez, Corrales vs Castillo, Holyfield vs. Tyson, etc...Comment

HBO is a cash cow! Pav vs taylor I free, turns out to be a great fight and now we have to pay to see the rematch.
Corrales vs castillo great first fight on showtime what do they do for the rematch? Give it to us free again! Marquez vs vasquez all three fights free thanks to showtime, hbo would have never done that. I try to watch as much fights as possible on showtime!Comment
