Hes 22, it doesnt make sence to continue.
Corrales was hurt against Castillo, didn't stop him from turning the tides.Ortiz is not a warrior. Katsidis was serious hurt by Casamayor and didn't quit. Katsidis was taking a one sided beatdown by diaz, and he still didn't quit.

either way its a matter of health right? If brock has you in a armbar youre tapping because you dont want your arm broken, in boxing you dont continue because you dont wanna end up in a coma after the fight.

You cant expect anyone to do what Corrales did, And where is Katsidis now?

in MMA you can't fight anymore if someone chokes you and you can't breath anymore. basically you're dead.

Also, an mma fight could continue with one combatant suffering a a broken arm or leg from a hold/lock/etc... but what's the point? the combatant without the injury/disability has too much of an advantage and the fight should be stopped.

so in essense, you have no case.

Katsidis is still looking pretty decent, he only lost 2 fights in his career and won his last fight. I know Katsidis would have no problems moving up to fight Ortiz at 140. Katsidis knows he'll have to work hard to earn the top fights again and if that means going through Ortiz he'd do it.

actually on saturday two guys in the same card lost by submission due to strikes, i will admit i haven't seen it happen before then but still. I do agree with you in general though.

Yeah I've seen it happen before by the ref but I've never seen a fighter tap because he was being punched in the face.
