    Alekseev-Releford on 7/4, Perdomo-Ubarnes 7/11

The undercard to Universumīs big show in Hamburg on July 4 features the European debut of Venezuelan Pablo Vazquez, who comes in at 16-0 with all wins inside the distance. Cruiserweight Aleksander Alekseev is in against Kendrick Releford, who in his last fight in Germany came very close to win over Enad Licina in an exellent fight. On the official scorcards Kendrick was a clear loser but in reality it was very close.

It will be interesting to see if Alexeev can knock out the durable Releford, who has taken a number of heavyweights like Tye Fields and Chazz Witherspoon to hard-won decisions.

I've read that purse bids for Kessler vs Perdomo are imminent - within a week.

They'd then (meaning Palle mostly likely) have 90 days to make the fight.

Kessler complained he was ready to fight now and didn't want to wait until September/October, but Palle said the summer was a bad time to make a fight and he'd prefer autumn, within the 90-day limit.

But of course it's possible that the legal issues between Kessler and Palle could stop this fight happening.

(For those who don't know the legal issues, Kessler believes fighting Perdomo would leave him a free agent, whereas Palle argues that Kessler signed a contract to have another 3 fights with Palle).

kessler needs a new promoter.he needs to come fight in the states & then we would see how good he really is.

Releford is very rugged at cruiser, good to see him there instead of Heavy. He can give guys problems

I too still think he will do well.

What happened was his promoter Universum had him fighting bum after bum, and he was KOing them early. Then, the very determined Ramirez took him into the late rounds and he wasn't prepared for it.

Now they have him fighting a durable journeyman like Releford who'll give him the rounds he needs.

I was pretty high on him earlier, but I'm afraid I lost some confidence after the Ramirez loss. He had a hard time with adversity and ended up wanting no more. The pendulum can still swing though with the proper motivation and dedication.
