  • Juanma vs Gamboa: Top Rank's Big Plan For 2010

Top Rank's Bob Arum has a master plan to slowly build a mega-bout between two of his young stars. Over the next year, Arum plans to build in the direction of a featherweight showdown between undefeated fighters Juan Manuel Lopez and Yuriorkis Gamboa. Lopez is the WBO super bantamweight champion and by the end of the year he plans to rise to the featherweight division, where Gamboa is the WBA's "regular" champion. [details]

Isn't it that Chris John was regular champ and Gamboa the interim?

I dont beleive Arum at all with this fight. Just like Arum said Pavlik vs Abraham will happen for the past 2 years.. He needs to make Lopez/Caballero and stop with all of these Lopez vs bum fights.

i want this fight to happen more than any other fight, it would be a war, depending on who gets caught with a big punch first pretty much looses imo

The reason this fight will happen is that Gamboa signed with Top Rank, so the fight will definitely happen.
