ortiz, does he show he can comeback?

this is the real test. can victor ortiz comeback from a tko loss. a real champion can lose and then come back better then ever. can't wait to see what happens in the near future. i saw a whole lotta flaws in ortiz's defence, flaws that were'nt there before, but the look of panic is what set the flaws. i'm hopeing ortiz does not turn out to be another vargas, starting too fast and ending his career even faster, or worse end up like bojado. i still have faith in ortiz, i believe he will be a champion one day. golden boy needs to put a hell of alot more time into this kids training.

Not by the way he was talking to Max Kellerman... I don't think those are the words of someone who believes they are a winner in this sport. Its only going to get harder for him unless he keeps making step-down fights from now on.

First of all people need to stop comparing Ortiz and Vargas. Yes Vargas was rushed into the lions den but at the same time he proved to be much better than Ortiz has been. I mean Vargas faced HARD opposition and was challenged by top notch talen b4 he stepped into the ring against trinidad..

That being said, Ortiz can come back, people will always question his heart or desire but he alone can change peoples mind by getting back into the ring and prove the people who question him wrong.

I mean look at Guerrrero.. He basically "quit" against Yordan from the cut that was caused by a headbutt. He looked good last week and I'm sure when he steps up he will have a chance to prove people wrong about his desire/heart.

Boxing is a great sport, people forgive boxers for thier past fights and concentrate what they can do now..

achilles i agree to a point, as an old fighter myself, after you are desimated like that, everything ortiz said after the fight is thought by all fighters that lose in such a way. now, thought and actually saying it out loud are 2 diffrent things. oscar should call floyd sr and work with this kid, that or pernell whitaker. a good southpaw couch is what this kid needs. i'm gonna stand behind ortiz as a fan, some of the other fans are jumping ship but thats ok, that just shows what type of fight fans they are.

He just needs to improve his defense and use his jab more, and he'll be fine. Ortiz needs to realize that he doesn't need to go hit in boxing and was getting hit too much last night.

why not compaire? looks the same in some ways. vargas was proved better, but only after this fight, ortiz's career just started so we won't know how he actually finishes it, **** he could end up rebounding and become the p4p king. that's what i'm hopeing for.

How does the comparison begin? They are both Mexican-American from Oxnard, CA?

Vargas could box and would get into wars when the fight turned into a slugfest. But he could box and had a better defense than Ortiz has shown so far.

I think Maidana is tough and all but in no way is he in the same league as Quartay, Wright, Campas,Ruelas, etc.

Ortiz can bounce back one he decides to re-focus.. I have a feeling the BRIGHT LIGHTS got to him, once he knew he was the main attraction and Golden Boy's hottest Prospect.. Vargas thrived in the spotlight

ortiz definatly has the tools and skills..and hes a really polite kid..but i did notice not even just from last night but from past interviews he seems immature in ways..i mean hes still only 23..he may be different at age 25 or 26
