base a fighters whole carrer on 1 fight, makes no sense.

ortiz will bounce back if wants to, he gave us a good fight.

    and cotto has heart, watch:
cotto vs mosley (brutal fight where cotto pulled thre)
cotto vs torres (a knock down in almost every round, cotto stuck it out)
cotto vs clottey (cotto fought with 1 eye)

cotto fought margo, great fight, brutal,
cotto goes to a knee in exhaustion, and all of a sudden he's a quitter for life, dont base the man on 1 fight, he's got 34 others where he shows heart.

lets all stop baseing fighters on one fight, and jus see what happens.
ortiz will be back but this loss has rubbed off some of his luster.

Cotto proved he could deal with that type of a situation against Torres. Both men had the power to hurt each other and neither were willing to stay down after being hurt. Ortiz too had the power to hurt Maidana as he had done several times but he was unable to adjust to the situation when the pressure was on him.

Against Margarito Cotto could not hurt the guy and he was taking a battering. There was no way he could have won.

He showed he could take punishment against top fighters like Judah, Mosley, Clottey and keep fighting. Ortiz hasn't.
yep, people shouldn't compare a world champion like cotto to a green prospect like ortiz... more is expected from a world champion.

Thank You, thank you, thank you. Just because cotto lost to margarito or margarito lost to mosley or ortiz lost to maidana.....please let's stop ending a boxer's career on 1 quit or 1 bad beating. If pacman loses to cotto let's not do the same. Roberto Duran quit vs sugar ray and still went on to beat cuevas, destroy davey moore, lose decisio to the great marvin hagler in 15....YES...15 RDS. Fought leonard again and went the distance. Look at cotto now after taking 2 knees

exactly, duran quit, and duran is the most mocho boxer of all time,
he was the greatest lightwieght ever, and after he quit went on to beat iran barkley.

judging fighters on 1 fight is ******.

That's the irony of the whole thing for me.

I'm baking the humble pie as we speak. Motherfuckers better eat the **** i serve.

Guys like Khan and Ortiz are getting unnecessary stick, which is unfair because i still class both guys as prospects but don't expect the Khan fans on here(including me) not to dish out the same **** that was put on them after Khan got KO'd by Prescott. It was the Ortiz fans who were dishing it out the most on here.

            What goes around, comes around.
