Let's not base a fighters whole carrer on 1 fight

why do boxing fans do this?

base a fighters whole carrer on 1 fight, makes no sense.

ortiz will bounce back if wants to, he gave us a good fight.

    and cotto has heart, watch:
cotto vs mosley (brutal fight where cotto pulled thre)
cotto vs torres (a knock down in almost every round, cotto stuck it out)
cotto vs clottey (cotto fought with 1 eye)

cotto fought margo, great fight, brutal,
cotto goes to a knee in exhaustion, and all of a sudden he's a quitter for life, dont base the man on 1 fight, he's got 34 others where he shows heart.

lets all stop baseing fighters on one fight, and jus see what happens.

Of course Ortiz can redeem himself, but the question is will he? As a guy who's not yet accomplished anything special, his rep is only good as his last fight. Til he proves otherwise in anotha fight, cats will label him a quitter.

i know, i hate that, but i jus hate the people that judge a fighter on 1 fight.
hatton was a good fighter, after he got ko'd by pac, he's overrated.
Pavlik is a good fighter, gets schooled by b hop, now he's a one dimensional bum.

        lol i love nsb

I'm not writing him off for the way he fought (except the part where he quit) I'm writing him for the way he talked after the fight.

Any potential rival that sees that will know he can beat him. Ortiz just came across as soft and WEAK.

A lot of people thought that before those two guys lost. Myself included. I always thought Hatton was a Frank Warren creation.

                    People shouldn't compare Cotto-Margarito to Ortiz-Maidana.

Cotto proved he could deal with that type of a situation against Torres. Both men had the power to hurt each other and neither were willing to stay down after being hurt. Ortiz too had the power to hurt Maidana as he had done several times but he was unable to adjust to the situation when the pressure was on him.

Against Margarito Cotto could not hurt the guy and he was taking a battering. There was no way he could have won.

He showed he could take punishment against top fighters like Judah, Mosley, Clottey and keep fighting. Ortiz hasn't.
