floyd has already set a standard that will never be met just curious as to how good do you guys really think he is.
He could have fought Freitas, Casamayor, Tszyu, Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Clottey, all those guys. I would have made him favourite against them all. Even if he fought four or 5 of them and lost people would still respect that alot more than just not fighting them at all.

      Skillwise, no he didn't.

      Achievement-wise, yes he did.

He's a Ferrari running at half-speed, then quit running when other Ferraris started chasing.

so winning 6 titles in 5 weight classes by the age of 30 while going undefeated was not a significant achievement

i think there is some validity in saying that floyd has wasted his talent, or a wasted talent of sorts.

i say yes to this because of the fact that floyd has really hand picked some opponents that he should've ahve been in the ring with, all the while there was someone who was worthy waiting in the wings to get a fight.

floyd should've fought more of the names in and around him in his divisions. i don't care either way if he were to win or if he were to beat them all, i think it could go both ways, he could beat them all or he could lose to them all or some of them, one thing is, we will never know because floyd hasnt', don't, or won't fight the match ups we all want to see, and for that, i say he's touching in the category of being wasted talent.

fight the fights the fans call for, not the fights that short change the fans, with hype and fluff; give the fans what we have been patiently waiting for. take a risk, take on a hard challenge, be the underdog for once in your career, have a hall of fame type fight, a fight of the year type fight, but coasting and carrying fighters, hand picking opponents, always having every advantage, always being the favorite; that is someone who is stuck in his comfort zone, someone playing it safe as far as his undefeated record is concerened, yeah, thats wasted talent if you ask me.

i thnk someone on this thread said something along the line, floyd after the castillo fights has being taking it easy. i'm not saying some of the guys he's fought weren't or aren't tough, i'm not saying that, but he sure wasn't in any trouble fighting any of those guys, and he wasnt ever going to be in trouble with them because he's picked them out to have no advantage over him, again, always the favorite.................

He's not done yet. If he beats Marquez, Pacquaio and either cotto/mosley he leaves no questions unanswered in my book. Who else does he have to beat after them?

he can't fight everyone but beating cotto, pac, and mosley would look nice on his resume
