If this happens it seems like berto just can't get fights like dawson, no one wants to fight him yet, hes too dangerous and not bringing enough money yet. I think this could be good to set up a clottey fight, if berto impressively beats collazo without any doubt this time.
Collazo - Berto II is on!

I want to see Berto get his clock cleaned just like most other people do. But Collazo just doesn't fit the bill. He lost the last two rounds of that fight after I had it even. And Berto was able to impose his will on him and land a bunch of body shots in the twelfth round because Collazo is not a particularly hard puncher. I would give someone like Delvin Rodriguez or Zab Judah a puncher's chance against Berto. What I'm getting at is the rematch is not going to be any different than their first fight. And Dibella knows that, and he knows that there's a good chance that Berto may fail against a different style.Comment

Any scorecard from Harold Letterman holds about as much weight as the way his daughter scores fights. NONE!!!see you both had it Luis winning, but "Coming Up Short" officially lost. And what does un-officially beating Berto count for anyway?
that whine fest (another old thread) which was posted on here by Collazo in letter form complaining to the WBC was the most pathetic thing ever. You can't fight the middle (5,6,7) and (11,12) last two rounds like Collazo did vs Berto and expect to win .... you can have him winning all you want, but a large reason he lost that fight is because he gave up rounds
so instead of saying "oh he really won" why not try to look at why he lost?
**and I saw the fight in clips again about a month ago, have to say, Harold Lederman seems very misguided
after the 12th round is over, he had Collazo winning 115-112, if you recall.
but where he loses some credibility IMO is Harold said "Luis won, and outworked Berto especially in rounds 6 and 7"
and the funny thing is that in those 2 rounds Collazo (according to compubox) got out thrown + outlanded .. and a pretty good case for Berto winning BOTH rounds could be made (although the 6th was a closer)
going by Lederman's card and giving Berto the rounds he was "outworked" it switched that 115-112 Collazo W to a 114-113 Berto W, a scorecard that 2 judges actually wound up with.
funny how that works ^
and regarding a rematch, doesn't really matter if it happens cool, if not Collazo will just come up short again vs Berto.
**unless if he goes for that IBF strap of course.Comment

me and 2 of my boy's were watching the berto/collazo fight and all 3 of us thought berto showed hella heart but collazo should've gotten the decision. wasnt a robbery because it was so close but still. either way, would like to see a rematch and settle it.Comment

Good news that last fight shouldve been a draw or slightly favorable to Collazo in my opinion.
I felt he got outclassed on the insideComment
