Molitor Struggles, Barely Beats Ruiz Over Twelve

Former IBF super bantamweight champion Steve Molitor (29-1, 11KOs) still needs a lot of work. The Canadian star is trying to rebuild his career after being crushed in four rounds last November by Celestino Caballero during their unification bout. Prior to the loss, Molitor was being groomed as a major star and American promoters like Top Rank were expressing interest in promoting him in the United States. [details]

molitor looked real shaky, gunshy, mentally weak and totally unsure of himself ... it was a terrible fight overall and a terrible clash of styles ... but its molitors first fight back but that being said he has a ton of work ahead of him ...

Never got why Molitor was hyped as he was, it's still a little surprising that he'd struggle against Ruiz though.

Juanma already said, he wants either Vazquez or Marquez, and if he cant get any, he likes Caballero:

You cant lame the kid for wanting the 2 best fighters, who will bring him more prestigue, recognition and obviosuly more money!!!!!!!!!

Caballero doenst see round 6 against Juanma!!!!!!!!!

well i thought molitor won pretty clearly ... his struggles in this fight were all self imposed, ruiz did next to nothing and molitor just looked mentally so unsure and wouldnt pull the trigger ... there was also an obvious clash of styles with either not wanting to commit to going forward
