I believe ticket sales was the reason Mayweather postponed!

What a coincidence that it's moved to the weekend of Mexican independence..and his whole excuse on fighting Marquez is because he has a "HUGE MEXICAN FAN BASE"..and he has "AN ENTIRE COUNTRY SUPPORTING HIM"..

Those poor ticket sales got to Mayweather..this was all planned..Hype it up a bit..make some wanna see it..make himself seem vulnerable and coming off injury to make the rest of the people want to see him lose..he's a marketing genius and he knows those factors alone will double any sales the July 18th date would've sold gate and PPV..

contrary to what many caucasians belive, May 5 is not Mexico's independence day. so the answer is yes.

Does the difference in selling tickets offset the millions spent on marketing the first date, I fail to see how scrapping the first date makes them more money infact it brings a much higher risk of loss because they will have to market the fight a second time. Mayweather was lead promoter which means he is on the hook for **** like marketing, so how does it make any sence to cancle the fight because a few thousand tickets (difference) will not offset having to market the fight twice.

Because he know he's Boxings so-called "Villain" so people would pay to see him lose..we ALL KNOW THAT!..so if he cries "injury" ..he gets to put himself in a more vulnerable bracket since he'd be coming off an "injury"..on top of that he lands the date RIGHT ON the weekend of Mexican Independence..which Mexicans like myself would be more in to the Pride thing in wanting to see Marquez win on a memorable date and with the edge since he's healthy 100% and Mayweather is coming of this "injury"..
