The More Successful Wladimir Is, The More Hate He Receives

Some of Calzaghe's fights were quite entertaining though. At least he's all action, if not much else. Tunney, you surely must realise that Wlad isn't very exciting. Even chess matches can at least be competitive. With Wlad it's just a very antiseptic breakdown of a much inferior opponent. Part of me understands the frustration, as the Klitschkos' are eastern Europeans at the top of the boxing world - something that was unheard of in times gone by. So some people like yourself, obviously feel the lack of respect ****s on their success.
Do you know what this is like? It's like expecting a group of people to fancy a girl they're not attracted to. Now how logical is that? If someone doesn't like something, all the talk in the world won't change it. If YOU are the only person in a cinema who enjoyed a certain movie, why care about everybody else?Comment

It seems the better Wladimir Klitschko does, the more hate he receives. Now he's just become Ring Champion, and so there are more threads popping up from people, bashing him in different ways.
Why do people hate the best boxers? Joe Calzaghe used to receive a lot of negative attention, and Floyd Mayweather has been hated on a lot since he announced he will be returning.
Do some people expect the best boxers to be flawless supermen, like comic book characters? Or is it just ENVY?
What kind of people do most of this hating? Is it losers who have never accomplished anything positive in their own lives?
That is why no one knows or cares about Wlad.Comment

Wlad is a saftey first, cautious fighter with a poor chin who has faced poor oppostion. Some of that is due to the heavyweight division, yet blame falls with Wlad for not getting in the ring with guys like Toney, Holyfield and Rahman, and choosing guys like Imbramagov and Austin.
That is why no one knows or cares about Wlad.
Toney and Holyfield? He doesnt really need too...Comment

I disagree with the original poster, I think it appears that he gets more hate because he's more topical right after a fight, so more of his critics and fans will speak out about him right after a fight then they would if he was on a long layoff. When/if he loses you'll see more hate then you will after he wins.
Also if he puts on boring performances (which he usually does, he doesn't want to take risks, thats fine, but unfortunatly theres no one in the HW division to really challenge him and make him have to take risks, so i don't blame him) but if you puts on a boring performance, of course he'll catch flack after a fight.
He's a cool dude, and a kick-ass fighter, but his nuthugging fans are the worst.Comment

1. He tried to get a fight with Holyfield in 2000, 2001, and 2002.
2. Wlad vs. Toney would be a mismatch no one wants to see.
3. He defeated Rahman
4. His fight with Ibragimov (who defeated Holyfield) was to UNIFY the titles
5. Ray Austin was his mandatory - he had to fight him to retain the IBF title.Comment

This is a perfect example of someone hating on Wlad for the wrong reasons.

The more he does, and the more I get to watch him in action, the more I begin to like him. I never thought the day would come when I'd be putting his name in my sig, but times are-a-changing. The man's a beast and I'm happy to have an undisputed HW champ at last.Comment

Your posts are not good ones. You're not being honest...
You **** on Wlad for being boring, yet you make threads about him. If you really did find him boring, you'd just ignore him. I don't make threads about Matt Skelton and John Ruiz, two fighters I find painful to watch.
No, you're jealous of Wlad's success because you're a fan of that cowardly fraud, David Haye.Comment

If he was laying dudes out while still using his ridiculous jab that he has and just being more aggressive when he smells blood, I think more Americans would gravitate to him. But he indeed does fight like a 6'7 Robot. I miss 70s-90s Heavyweights...now THOSE dudes threw down!Comment
