VERY TRUE ! Before he had that tyson"i'm going to destroy you" mentality and it's missing. He went from a fighter that was very, very hard to beat to a fighter that can beat you but not destroy you. That's the mystery. If he gets that old style back for this fight, it is not going to be pretty for pacman. Now if he stays with the style he's had since margarito fight then pacman has a chance to beat him. We just don't know which style will be at that fight.

Ignacio has a valid perception of Miguel, in the sense that Cotto has slipped up. I think everyone sees that.

I mean Paq's people went from scared ****less of Cotto, to willing to make the fight within day's after the Clottey fight...lol They obviously see it too. But I wouldn't count Cotto out at all, lol I don't care how "Puerto Rican'ish" his chin is...

I'm a cotto fan and i'm hoping that the cotto that is a beast shows up at the fight rather than the cotto that showed up in last 2 fights, who is still very good.

actually cotto beating pac makes way for a marquez fight since marquez will probly lose aginst floyd. that leaves pac and marquez in the loser bracket which will make a 3rd fight.

We are all going to see the speed that pacman has in this fight. We all know the speed is special, but pacman has not fought a stronger boxer than miguel. You can say marques, barrera, etc, etc but none of them can finish you off when you are hurt as miguel can. When i saw the 2nd marquez fight and saw when marquez rocked pacman and stood there and did not follow up i yelled...idiot....follow up.

When cotto has you hurt he follows up and that is something that pacman has not seen in ANY....I REPEAT...ANY of his opponents. On the other side we saw in the clottey fight that miguel with 1 eye was taking bigger shots than marquez and cotto did not go down or it affected him. He backtracked and then responded when clottey came after him.

Your right, Cotto is like a pit bull in that respect and normally Pac plays that role in his fights.

With that said, the fighters Pac has gone up that would follow up have been negated and there is that possibility with Cotto as well.

I love the idea of this fight, no clear cut advantage (except to stans of either side) for either fighter. Cotto has the power boxing skills, Pac has the speed and versatility.

This fight was already been talking about before Cotto-Clottey fight. You do the negotiations after the Clottey fight, not before. You have to wait if Coot wins, which he did.

As far as Cotto, to me he is still the same fighter after the lost to Margarito. He just have a bad cut. He showed heart in the Clottey fight.

No way! Cotto looked slow against the over-matched Jennings and Cotto was expected not to be the same after that grueling fight against Margarito not to mention the plaster of paris.
