Sound bias to me... Japan is nowhere now compared to Philippines and PR...

japan has massive that no one hears about.all the strawweights, etc. The smallest weight classes under 122 are what's popular there.that's why no one hears or cares.they have regular shows that attract 20-30000 people.personally I don't watch under 118 so I don't care but again massive shows & the Japanese yen is a great currency to be paid in.boxing is huge there

I do like to hear that there are promoters trying to get rid of the sanctioning bodies.it's killing boxing.too many world titles.it's a joke having more than one champion.I say strip all titles from champions & force the 4 champions to fight each other to get 1 champion at each weight class.90% of the boxing fans I know don't like 4 world titles.many of them are losing interest because they want good fights & want the best to fight each other & it's just not happening thou.it's killing boxing popularity.

Yeah I would say 1 or 2 tops titles for each division.

Hmm... The headline includes Japan while the article doesn't mention the country. Gets me wondering.

I personally don't care whether there are four major sanctioning bodies or fewer of them. More is no thanks though. All I want them to do right now is stop creating meaningless interim titles. An interim championship is necessary only when the champion is unable to make a defense due to legitimate reasons. They've been allowing fighters to fight for interim titles for no good reasons. I've been becoming more and more su****ious about the screw in the damn heads of alphabets.
