    quoted for truth.

I mean hopkins was in his 40's already by the time he faced calzaghe. given the type of fighter calzaghe is (ie. high output of punches; etc) bhop had to find a way to slow him down because 12 rounds at calzaghe's pace for hopkins would have been a disaster if he attempted to keep up. by the 8th round he's be worn out in my opinion.

I thought hopkins did a very good job of neutralizing calzaghe's speed and punch output...he made joe fight off balance and forced him to throw punches at times when calzaghe wasnt used to throwing them and at angles calzaghe isnt comfortable throwing in...

he did a very good job and for being in his 40's i think he did a damn good job especially seeing how long ago it was when he was still in his prime.

he made calzaghe look bad...and not every fighter can do that...so he gets somewhat of a pass.

for those who think he shouldnt i'd like to see you get in a ring at 43 and have someone with good speed and punch output come at you with all they got...lets see what you all do.

    you know what i mean?

the man is 43...give him a BREAK.
