I was a little pissed off the way he was clowning Jones, because although Jones deserved it, it was painful to watch someone of his standing reduced to little more than a plaything.

But the way he did it to Bernard everytime he tried to cheat was priceless. Even when Bernard was landed 3 or 4 clean, on the button shots clearly after the bell, Calzaghe still had his "tough guy" face on and laughed at him afterwards.

That **** reminds me why I love this sport.

And don't get me started on that hole my groin is in my navel **** his was trying to pull, that was disgraceful, I was almost done with hopkins after this fight (in fact this was the fight that made me appreciate calzaghe) B-hop won me back the way he handled pavlik, but he has to admit the calzeghe fight was a bad night.
Both of them looked like ****. Joe was missing a lot of his pitty pat punches. Bernard had trouble landing as well.

And a win over a old past prime HOFer made you a Calzaghe fan. Joe barely won with a low workrate Hopkins...he couldn't handle the Bernard of the late 90's...

Both made each other look like ****. Their styles would have always created the same kind of fight, they would never gel because they are both dominant, so they end up canceling each other out.

The win did make me a Joe fan, I'm a hopkins fan too, hell i'm a boxing fan, i don't favor one fighter over another (usually) I don't think the fight should have been a SD, and if hopkins actually had a decent workrate for that fight then it would have been close, but i don't think it was.

c'mon now, are you that obtuse to know and to see that hopkins was far from ****ing scared, he was fighting with strategy, always has. it's funny how the further this fight falls into history, calzaghe blowhards try to make this fight out to be a dominant calzaghe performance which couldn't be further from the truth. it was a split decision loss, that had calzahge on the deck in the first round, missing and looking like a amateur; the only thing that calzaghe did against hopkins was throw a lot of punches. most of his shots didn't even land on the scoring part of the body, he hit hopkins arms, shoulders, BACK, and low, all fight long, i'm not saying calzaghe didn't land any decent punches, but i know one thing, hopkins landed the harder, cleaner, more effective punches. hopkins fought with strategy, and whether you like it or not, it's the fact and the style of fight he chose to fight. now after saying that, the majority of press row had hopkins winning the fight, and the immediate sentiment inside the T&M, all the calzaghe fans around me were worried sick because they thought it was such a close fight, and a few even told me they thought that hopkins won the fight and that calzaghe got lucky. now, that is from being there ringside, and that is what i remember from being there. the ony ones who blindly thought that calzghe won were the ones drunk out of their ****.
you fail to remember one thing that unites hopkins and calzaghe in having the same assets, the one thing that they have that has made them champions; BOTH FIGHTERS HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE THEIR OPPONENTS FIGHT THEIR FIGHT, and in their fight, hopkins and calzaghe, the majority of people, still to this day, say, that hopkins had calzaghe fighting HIS fight for the majority of the fight. there were moments in the fight where calzaghe was taking the lead, but hopkins was able to stand stubborn and have clazaghe come towards him, baiting him in. calzaghe is a windmill of punches, so of course he's going to be coming forward, doesns't mean he was effective, doens't mean that he was ineffective all the time, but one thign is for sure, he was not dominant in their fight and he never once had hopkins scared. that is just ridiculous.....................

he said he would RETIRE B-Hop......he said that was gonna be B-Hop's last fight!!!.....scared men don't want rematches.......did Spinks want Tyson again?!?.....Spinks was shook......thats the look of a shook fighter........B-Hop's strategy was to let Joe come forward and why don't the Calzaghe fans acknowledge that B-Hop was fighting injured.......in fact he fought the Winky fight with the SAME injury........the injury affected his performance MORE in the Calzaghe fight because of Joe's style.......you guys must know alot about a fighter fighting injured because Joe's bad hands is a reason for everything you dudes say!!
