Juanma: "I Can Beat Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez"

WBO super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez is headlining this weekend at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, defending his title against undefeated Olivier Lontchi in the main event of Top Rank's Latin Fury 9 pay-per-view. He doesn't want to look beyond his upcoming fight, but Juanma is starting to get the feeling that the two best fighters at his weight are avoiding him. [details]

What about Caballero?? The guy with 2 belts.

Pretty much everyone knows Vazquez & Marquez aren't the same any more.

I would love to see Juan Ma Lopez get a shot at one of those guys. He carries the fan base and the excitement he brings to the ring is what makes him a worthy opponent for them. But fighting guys like Lontiachi gives them leverage to ignore him, however. Abraham isn't going about the right way to get a shot at Pavlik either, even though we all want to see the fight.

i like juan ma, but he hasnt fought anybody other than ponce de leon to earn a shot vs 2 hall of famers & p4p ranked figthers.

fight caballero get that ibf & wba belt then u can talk all the smack u want about them not wanting to fight you.

he will probably get the fight anyway due to his big time promoter & the puerto rican fanbase.

jaunma is gonna be one tough cookie to beat. ive been following him for along time and im glad to see him maintain his level of feirceness despite his step up in competition. and while izzy or Marquez wont be easy, id put my money on jaunma all day against them, or anyone else at the table!

                  juanma..

this guys has talent and a future.. i really dont think he's a proven fighter.. he's more like been taken care of.. i mean didnt anybody else see the shots he took from penalosa?? he takes some of those from izzy or marquez.. it's a different fight... i say let him grow into his own... marquez and vasquez are made boxers.. let them get paid and retire.. and besides i read somehwere he wants these fights.. but only in PR or NY.. ok.. how you challenge and put the conditions.. why dont he say i'll go to mexico!!

We will see marquez, vazquez, caballero are all great matchups.I'd watch any of them.caballero is a mongloid! He's like 6'1 122 pounds, that's such an advantage in his weight class.he pummelled molitor.molitor had no answer for his size & reach.molitor is a solid fighter but caballero is at another level.
