Floyd turned down $8million to fight margarito in 2006

Mayweather rejected an offer of US$8 million to fight Antonio Margarito and split with promoter Bob Arum

Mayweather earned $8 million for the fight, while Baldomir was paid $1.6 million. Both were career highs in earnings for each fighter at the time.

Mayweather says money was the issue for not fighting margarito....it was?

What i'm trying to say is floyd always has excuses on why he does not fight the best in the welterweight and that was one excuse that backfired To this day, he still has excuses.

              Not this again.

This obsession with Mayweather is ridiculous.

BPP needs to ban a few guys

Who and the hell was Margarito in 2006? No one knew who that guy was so If you're Floyd Mayweather and you have a possible fight with: Carlos Baldomir the lineal champ at 147, Oscar Dela Hoya, Shane Mosley, or I even believe Cory Spinks was an option then... Antonio Margarito a guy you've never heard of is the absolute last choice, and I've heard Floyd was offered 12mil, 10miil, now you're saying 8mil... I think those figures are exagerrated and made up
